Who's Ariana?
Ariana Grande currently stars as Cat Valentine, on the hit Nickelodeon show VICTORIOUS, which is currently in its THIRD season. Most recently, she was signed to Universal Republic Record label and released her first single, “Put Your Hearts Up,” which debuted at NUMBER 25 on the pop charts. She also performed the hit single on NBC’s Gymnastics and Skating Spectacular in front of more than 33 MILLION viewers. Over the holidays Ariana performed to a sold out crowd at New York City’s Irving Plaza and more recently sold out the famed Roxy in LA.To celebrate New Year’s Eve, Ariana performed in front of over SEVEN THOUSAND fans. The city of Hershey Park, PA had to close down one city block to accommodate the crowd. Ariana’s other credits include voice-over work as an animated Fairy, Princess Diaspro, on the new Nickelodeon series, The Winx Club, the original role of Charlotte in 13 the musical, on Broadway, for which she won a National Youth Theatre Association Award in 2009. In 2010, she created the original role of Miriam in the reading of the new musical, Cuba Libre, written and produced by Desmond Child.
In her early years, she has been a soloist with various symphonies including South Florida’s Philharmonic, Pops and Symphonia Orchestras, and has had repeated appearances singing at NYC’s own Birdland. Ariana performed the National Anthem for the first LIVE FOX SPORTS broadcast of the Anthem for the Florida Panther’s hockey league. In the Summer of 2009, as a member of the charitable organization, Broadway in South Africa, Ariana performed and taught music and dance to children in Gugulethu, South Africa. Also, at the age of 10, Ariana co-founded the youth singing group, Kids Who Care, in South Florida, which performed for charitable fund-raising events, raising over $500,000 for charities in 2007 alone.
